He began his venture into music out on church hymns and around the piano with the brood. (Wade is one of many siblings.) Then pop songs. The first one he ever learned every word to was "Joy to the World" by Three Dog Night. It was he recalls a "powerful to know a song."
He bought his first guitar at a flea market in Galt off a down-and-out musician who simply asked him to play it right. "I've tried to do that. I am far from a dominant guitarist, vocalist or lyricist but my steady proficiency at all three mixed with an adventurous mind and a poet's heart allows me to do something of meaning and beauty ever so often. When you combine enough ever-so-oftens, it becomes a body of work. I suppose I would like to invite folks to come out and check out that body."
Whether it's raining or not, Wade is "looking to build a musical ark of an evening with two by tunes"- with complimentary pairing of his original and other songs. "I want the night to be filled with couplets until there is a good poem of song filling the Thunder Thursday night. We'll see how she emerges."
