Plumas Arts cultivating culture & community
"Dreaming of Spring" Art Show at Capitol Arts Gallery

dreaming-of-spring March can be a dreary month here in Plumas County, when we all are ready for warmer and sunnier days after a long cold winter. Chase away the gray with Plumas Arts' March Opening Reception for a show entitled "Dreaming of Spring," on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 5PM to 7PM. The Capitol Arts Gallery at 525 Main St. will be blooming with color during this eclectic show featuring the work of local and regional artists working in a variety of media. From delicate watercolor florals to bold photography, spring is in the air. "In addition to our wonderful fine artists, we also have a new line of fun, colorful jewelry and note cards, and some amazing carved and illustrated gourds," says Lori Davis, gallery manager.

Plumas Arts will be hosting the reception at the Capitol Arts Gallery with beverages and treats on hand. "We really enjoy having the community come in and share this space, it's a great way to catch up with friends as well as check out our new show," Davis comments. The Capitol Arts Gallery is a program of Plumas Arts, and is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11AM to 5:30PM, and can be reached at (530) 283-340
