"We owe a great debt to all of these generous establishments and individuals who create such wonderful food for this event," offers Roxanne Valladao, Director of Plumas Arts. "The beautiful part is this is very much a win-win-win situation for all who participate. The culinary artists win because we inspire them to present themselves and showcase some of their best work to a very interested audience. The public wins in an opportunity to be the beneficiary of such creative endeavors, meet the artists who rarely have the opportunity to leave their kitchens and compile a mental wish list of where to go out for great meals in all parts of county. Plumas Arts wins by celebrating culinary artists and presenting them to them a very interested clientele while enjoying a most necessary and appreciated financial boost."

Culinary artists from around the county will provide sumptuous samplings of their fine work at the Taste of Plumas.

Plumas Arts is pleased to note that the event will include sumptuous samplings from all parts of Plumas.

In alphabetical order the Taste of Plumas features:

Alley Cat Café, Almanor Culinary Academy, American Valley Baking, Café Le Coq, Café Mohawk, Cakes Unleashed, Carol's Café & West Shore Deli, Dunn's Coffee & Fine Teas, Gamboni's Peninsula Grill, Greenhorn Guest Ranch, Grizzly Grill, Longboards Bar & Grill, Moon's Restaurant, Pangaea Café & Pub, Quincy Natural Foods, Sweet Lorraine's, The Grille at the Chalet View Lodge, The Lodge at Whitehawk, Three Beans Coffe House & Bakery and Tratorria Rosa Cucina Italiana.

Plumas Arts has orchestrated an extraordinary prize drawing in conjunction with the Taste of Plumas. The majority of participating restaurants, as well as others who were unable to attend, have donated certificates for meals for two. These donations have been collected into three groups of five or more that will lead you from one end of the county to the other to Dine Your Way Around Plumas.

In addition to these three grand prizes there are also tickets to upcoming cultural events and movie passes for the Town Hall Theatre. Chances to win are $5 each, $10 for 3 or $20 for 7. They are available at the Plumas Arts Gallery or by phone 283-3402 or online at plumasarts.org. Volunteers are also selling tickets. Chances are available now and will be sold at the event until the drawing in the final hour of the Taste of Plumas. You need not be present to win.

Taste of Plumas and the Dine Your Way Around Plumas Prize Drawings are two of the primary fundraising activities for Plumas Arts, which has a 27-year respected reputation as a quality community cultural events producer. Plumas Arts is, by designation of the Board of Supervisors and in partnership with the California Arts Council, the primary cultural programming agency for Plumas County and one of the regions largest membership organizations. Plumas Arts provides programs for art education in our county schools, coordinates our county’s cultural events calendar, manages a gallery featuring work by regional artists, produces (in addition to the Taste of Plumas) the Almanor Art Show, Mountain Harvest Festival, Words & Music (in three county locations) and brings world class performers to the Town Hall Theatre in Quincy; which is also managed by Plumas Arts as a successful first run feature film business, community performance venue and gathering place.
