Capitol Arts Center
In 30 years of service, Plumas Arts has facilitated a tremendous amount of positive progress, for local culture as well as our economy. Join them as they celebrate one of their greatest accomplishments at a Grand Opening of the Capitol Arts Center at 525 Main Street in Quincy from 5 to 7pm on Friday, June 29th.
This will be the second exhibition in the newly renovated space and the first group showing of the diverse and talented member artists of Plumas Arts. The exhibition will feature two and three-dimensional fine art and artisan creations in wood, basketry, pottery, jewelry in a variety of price ranges accessible to everyone.

Plumas Arts will also use the evening to offer recognition of the generous individuals and groups that offered financial and volunteer support to recreate this historical facility to serve the next generations of Plumas County citizens. As a token of gratitude for the wide spread support, all who made a financial donation of $100 or more or offered volunteer labor will be gifted a fine art print of Indian Creek by the late local Artist Bob Pfenning. If you have not made a donation in that amount, no worries, you may still do so and be entitled to that print.

The staff and board of Plumas Arts invites the public to "Join us for a toast to our accomplishments, our community and the many and generous members who have helped us to grow into the cohesive cultural force that has allowed us to make countless wonderful things possible over these last three decades."

These then and now photos illustrate how the historic Capitol Saloon has long been a showcase of Plumas County elegance.

Plumas Arts invites the public to celebrate their investment in this historic building at their June 29th Opening reception from 5 to 7pm.
