Marion & Wilma Taddei

Marion was born with drawing talent and has sketched in pencil all his life and majored in Art for two years at Chico State College. After marrying Wilma they moved to Sacramento where he attended Sacramento Junior College while she taught school. He decided that he would never be able to make a living in art in Greenville, where he wanted to live, so he attended Sacramento Barber College. After graduating he and Wilma moved back to Greenville, where they still live. Marion opened a barbershop and Wilma taught in the elementary school until she retired.

Wilma came to study art later on during her years teaching, she took a watercolor class from Pat Kurtz. Over her summer vacations she participated in workshops given by Kurtz and other artists who came to the area to teach.

Marion and Wilma Taddei helped start the Workshop for Plumas Artists (WPA) in Greenville, which they still belong to. This local Indian Valley based artists group meets weekly and sponsors an annual show at the Taylorsville Museum.
