David Leland Hyde, for 12 years, has been the full-time conservator and curator of the work of his father, pioneer American wilderness photographer Philip Hyde. David works closely with world-renowned art galleries, museums and other art and environmental organizations. David has been a part-time photographer for 38 years. Even though his photography has been published in national magazines and newspapers for many years, he is just now starting to develop his own work through exhibitions and galleries. David also founded Landscape Photography Blogger, honored by thousands of followers in 67 countries. He speaks at Universities and colleges about art, environmental ethics and low impact living, as well as his experiences with his parents exploring and defending wilderness. David’s photography appears in a popular new book, The Insightful Landscape with 26 leading contemporary landscape photographers, including such names as Joseph Kayne, Guy Tal, Gary Crabbe, Chuck Kimmerle, Tim Parkin and others.  David writes for prominent national magazines and newspapers and has had his articles nationally syndicated. The online version of his March 2014 centerpiece feature in Outdoor Photographer magazine about his father and his father’s mentors and classmates, Ansel Adams, Minor White, Imogen Cunningham, Benjamin Chinn and Stan Zrnich on The Art of Vision can be found at: David is also an accomplished stage actor, performance artist and published poet.
